  Introducing Mrs Cedars...

  i just thought you should know that mrs cedars has finally taken the plunge and joined the forum.

  she was able to log on for the first time yesterday.. though we both "awakened" at different stages, mrs cedars was very supportive and non-judgmental when i first began exploring my beliefs from a critical standpoint.

  she is currently in the process of reading crisis of conscience and aquainting herself with some of the facts of witness history that were hitherto unknown.

  Move to Australia NSW in 8 weeks !

  well after 3 crap jobs here in the uk i have secured 2 job offers in 2 days from australia !

  one in queensland and the other in nsw hunter valley.. wage is better in nsw and relocation cost's/flights covered etc.. will be on 100k aud as a senior radio engineer for the state emergency service radio upgrade by motorola tetra/p25 for the fire and rescue service.. .

  i have been working on this for over 12 months as some of you know, we have a 457 visa sposored by the employer and will be able to get pr after 2 years.

  You'll only be a few hours from me, as well as only a few hours from Sydney where other exJWs live, so we might one day meet at an apostafest!!!

  Worldwide Church of God collapse

  on my introduction post a few people expressed interest in how the worldwide church of god (wwcg) imploded.

  i think maybe in hopes something similar will happen with the jws.

  i think the jws will also eventually experience a meltdown but probably not in the same way since the power structure was a bit different.

  I find this interesting. We who were JWs can see similarities between the 2 religions so it's something we can relate to.

  Why get "personal" when discussing a topic?

  trading insults happens among kids all the time.. intellectual development hasn't progressed to the point where they can present contrary ideas and opinions with persuasive appeal to reasons, facts and logic.. "i know you are; but what am i?".

  "your momma's so fat....".

  so, they fall back on childish mocking, provocation and personal attack.. as we grow older and have more education and sophistication our minds should mature---or so you'd think!.

  If the list contains the names of convicted pedophiles, then it should be released.

  If they haven't been convicted, the names should not be made public but released straight to the police so the appropriate authorities can deal with the information themselves in a legal context.

  if you look on page 10, "what is god's purpose for the earth?," you'll see an illustration of adam in the garden--with a belly button!!

  what were the wt artists thinking????.

  Oh, are we back in the KH comparing who's placed the most magazines for the month?

  Farkel, you know NOTHING about me. My personal circumstances, how long I'd been a JW, what I've done since leaving the JWs. For your information I HAVE helped people leave the JWs, but unlike you, I don't have the insecurity to have the need to brag about it.

  I knew you couldn't help yourself in proving my words true. Instead of discussing things like a mature adult, you resorted to attacks. You don't have the intellectual capacity to engage in mature discussion. You're still a nerdy 15 year old, unable to talk to the pretty girls on the other side of the Kingdom Hall.
